HMO Plans
HMO Blue® offers a range of coverage levels and access to a statewide or New England network.
PPO Plans
Members get access to the Blue Cross Blue Shield national network with no referrals for a flexible coverage solution.
POS Plans
Combines the benefits of an HMO with the ability for members to self-refer for care at higher costs. Blue Choice® plans offer access to statewide or New England provider networks.
Tiered Network / Blue Options
These PPO and HMO plans feature tiered provider networks that encourage members to consider cost and quality when choosing providers.
Value-Based Benefits
These plans reduce or eliminate copayments for certain chronic disease medications, diabetic monitoring care and routine care to encourage members to take their medications as prescribed, follow treatment plans, get timely preventive care and form stronger relationships with personal physicians—all important to controlling costs over the long term.
Open Access Plans
These plans give members the ability to self-refer within the network, with higher employee cost sharing for specialist services.
Consumer Directed Health Plans
The Consumer Choice Blue family of health plans combines the affordability of consumer-directed, deductible-based plans with the ease and convenience of Personal Spending Accounts.
