Medical Cost Comparison Guide for PPO Members
Members in our PPO plans now have an unprecedented level of access to actionable cost data that empowers them be effective health care consumers.
The Medical Cost Comparison Guide allows members see and compare the cost of the care at various facilities in their area. Member can search by procedure and zip code to compare in-network costs for about 60 services from inpatient care to imaging services.
The guide is based on the data from more than 50 million Blues plan members across the nation, and it gives members a powerful tool to make effective decisions about where to receive care.
This tool is especially useful for members with plans that include a deductible or co-insurance, where they are responsible for some or all of the cost of services.
This tool is located in our secure member portal, Member Central, and is only available for members of our PPO plans.
