1099-HC Forms Were Mailed to Massachusetts Residents in January 2012
The April 17 tax deadline is right around the corner. And since Massachusetts health care reform became law, every state resident is required to have proof of health insurance to avoid paying a tax penalty. This proof of insurance, known as the 1099-HC form, was mailed to all subscribers who were enrolled in a qualifying Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts plan during the 2011 calendar year. Please keep this form, as it needs to be included with your Massachusetts tax return.
