New Coverage Guidelines for Women's Health Services

Under national health care reform, health plans will be required to cover the women's health services below without charging a copayment, co-insurance, or deductible—beginning August 1, 2012:

• Well-women visits
• Screening for gestational diabetes
• Human papillomavirus (HPV) testing
• Counseling for sexually transmitted infections
• Counseling and screening for HIV
• Contraceptive methods and counseling
• Breastfeeding support and breast pumps
• Domestic violence screening
