As a supplemental insurance plan, Medex Bronze helps cover health care expenses left over after Medicare has covered its portion of costs.

Medex Bronze provides more coverage than Medex Core. For example, Medex Bronze covers 100 percent of your co-insurance View glossary definition. and deductible View glossary definition. for doctor visits, home visits, ambulatory care, and hospitalization, whereas Medex Core provides the same coverage, but only after you pay your annual Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B deductible. Medex Bronze also provides full coverage for care received outside the United States.

With either Medex Core or Medex Bronze, you can seek care from any provider participating in Medicare. There's no need to choose a primary care physician View glossary definition. or get a referral. Eligibility
You are eligible to apply for any of our Medex plans if you meet the following requirements:

  • You live in Massachusetts, and
  • You are entitled to Medicare Part A and enrolled in Medicare Part B, or
  • You are under age 65 and you qualify for Medicare coverage because of a disability, except for end-stage renal disease.
