I have a Dental Blue^® plan and am looking for a dental care provider in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, or New Hampshire. Which network should I choose?
In most cases, you'll need to use the same network as your plan. Your plan name can be found in the upper right corner of your member ID card.

Choose the Dental Blue PPO network if your plan name reads:

• Dental Blue PPO
• Dental Blue PPO Preventive
• Dental Blue Select
• Essential Blue YA

If your plan name reads Dental Blue or Dental Blue Preventive, choose the Dental Blue network.

I have a Dental Blue^® plan and am looking for a dental care provider outside Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire. Which network should I choose?
To find providers outside the Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire networks, choose "DenteMax Network of Dentists" from the drop-down menu under Search for Provider by Type. (Please note that these providers are not available for dental benefits provided under medical coverage.)

Search the Dental Blue network. Be sure the provider is identified as having a participation agreement with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. Dental care providers whose participation agreement is with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island are not available for dental benefits provided under medical coverage.

Use the Medicare HMO Blue^® network.

If I have dental care benefits through Medicare PPO Blue plan, which network should I choose?
Use the Medicare PPO Blue network.

I have a medical plan. Which network should I use to search for oral surgeons?
For your oral surgery benefit, use the network name that corresponds to the plan name in the upper right corner of your member ID card.

For your pediatric dental benefit, use the Dental Blue network.
