Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts is an independent, not-for-profit corporation governed by its Board of Directors. The Board's responsibility is to ensure the success and good health of the organization in its charge. The Board meets regularly as a whole and also uses five standing Board Committees to fulfill its duties of care and loyalty to the company.
