No, not necessarily. Submitting a completed registration guarantees that your company will have a profile stored in our Supplier Diversity vendor database. When there is a sourcing opportunity, we use the database to search for suppliers.
Because the vendor database is our primary resource when sourcing, it is important that you keep this information current. We will contact you to participate in the request for proposal (RFP) process when there is a match between a procurement opportunity and your company's products and/or services.
We encourage participation in our Tier 2 program. When use of a subcontractor is possible, we ask prime vendors to make good faith efforts to provide certified minority and women-owned businesses the opportunity to participate in the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts contract. Every quarter, prime vendors are required to submit quarterly reports showing compliance with good faith effort requirements.
