Steps to Doing Business with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts

1. Obtain membership and be certified by one or more of our recognized certification organizations

2. Ensure that your company has the capacity and financial capability to do business with a large corporation like Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts

3. Understand the health insurance business

4. Complete the online Supplier Registration, which requires a copy of your certification documents. If your certification documents are not submitted, your registration will be marked inactive until a valid certification is provided. Completed registrations are approved and entered into our Supplier Diversity vendor database

5. We contact you if there is a procurement opportunity that matches your company's products/services

Certification Requirements
Eligibility for our program requires proof of certification from the following organizations and their regional affiliates:

• National Minority Supplier Development Council, Inc.®' (NMSDC)
• Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC)
• State Office of Minority and Women Business Assistance (SOMWBA)
