Dear Business Partner:
We have reached agreement on a new contract between Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Tufts Medical Center and the New England Quality Care Alliance (NEQCA).
We are pleased that there will be no disruption for our members and Tufts' patients. Tufts Medical Center and its affiliated physicians have agreed to join Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts' new Alternative Quality Contract, which is designed to improve care and moderate costs.
Today's agreement is another example of how our community can achieve quality care for patients and fair payments to providers while addressing the problem of steeply rising health care costs.
Member and account communication documents, as well as the joint public statement, will be published on BlueLinks for Brokers as soon as they are available.
