We are grateful to North Adams Regional Hospital and its staff for the excellent care they provided our members over the years, and we are committed to ensuring that our members have continued access to the quality health care they need.
What is Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts doing to support affected members?
We intend to help our members and their providers in any way possible to make sure members continue to receive all medically necessary care. We are working with other regional labs and mobile imaging units to ensure that our members have access to their services.

If members have a doctor at North Adams Regional Hospital or an affiliated medical practice, they should call their doctor for more information.
For emergency care, residents can go to Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield and Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, Vermont.

Patients now in the hospital will be discharged today, Friday, March 28, or transferred to other hospitals in the region.
Who is managing the closure and its transition?
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health is managing the transition. We are working closely with the Department of Public Health to ensure that our impacted members have a smooth transition.
