With Managed Blue for Seniors prescription drug plan, you'll be covered for over 4,000 generic, preferred brand-name, and non-preferred prescription medications. It's also important to note that with Managed Blue for Seniors, your prescription coverage is considered creditable. This simply means that the prescription coverage you receive under your Managed Blue for Seniors plan meets the Medicare Part D prescription coverage standards set by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Coverage is considered creditable if it pays out at least as much as the Medicare prescription benefit will pay out. This is an important consideration because if you decide to end your coverage under Managed Blue for Seniors and enroll in another Medicare plan, you will not incur a PenaltyGlossary.
