Personal Spending Accounts

Some of our health plans come with a financial account to help you manage your out-of-pocket medical costs. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts works with several companies to provide different types of account, including Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRAs).

Health Savings Account (HSA)
An HSA is a tax-free account that can be funded by both you and your employer. You own the account and can use it for current and future medical costs.

Click this 3:46 tutorial to see how an HSA works for you.
Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA)
An HRA is like a savings account funded by your employer. You can use it to pay for qualified health care expenses as determined by your employer.

Click on the appropriate company name to access your administrator's website. If you are unsure which company is administering your financial account, please check with your employer.
